Will Smith is a Board Member and Chief Financial Officer of Create Music Group. He is also the Co-Founder and Partner of 2 Mile, a private investment company, which has $125 million in assets under management and is one of the largest investors in Create.
In addition to his Board role at Create, Will is a part of the operating team, overseeing Finance & Accounting, Corporate Development, Capital Formation, and Strategy. He has been instrumental in raising the company over $1.5 billion in equity and credit financing and led the company’s investments in Nettwerk Music Group and !K7 Music, amongst other transactions.
Prior to Create and 2 Mile, Will spent a decade in Technology & Media private equity at Bridgepoint and Creator Partners, across New York and London, leading and supporting platform investments, refinancings, and exits totaling multiple billions of dollars. In addition, Will has been an active angel investor for many years, supporting early-stage technology companies including DICE, Cerebral, and Petvisor.
He began his career in investment banking in London, at Greenhill & Co and MXC Capital, after graduating from the University of Cambridge.
