Aaron Loring Davis is the CEO and Founder of Music Admin, Inc., a Nashville-based copyright administration, catalog valuation, and transaction diligence company supported by a senior, cross-disciplinary team of 30. Previously, Davis was the CEO and Co-founder of Exploration Group from 2013 to 2024, where he scaled the company to 50 staff representing more than 4 million songs averaging over 12 billion monthly streams. Over his career, he has represented hundreds of songwriters and artists, including many whose works rank among the most influential and commercially successful in modern recorded music.
Davis is the lead author of How the Music Business Works and led the production of The Music Industry Report – 2020 in partnership with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, research that contributed to the passage of the Save Our Stages Act. He has spoken and written for organizations including Billboard, AIMP, Music Biz, MIT Media Lab, and others. He holds a degree in Business Administration and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and is a self-taught computer scientist. Davis lives on a small farm outside Nashville with his wife.
